Frequently Asked Questions

Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin — about the width of a human hair. Most patients feel little to no discomfort. You may feel a mild tingling, warmth, or heaviness at the needle sites, which is normal and often indicates the treatment is working.
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained professional like Dr. Lucy, acupuncture is extremely safe. We use only sterile, single-use needles for every treatment. Side effects are rare and typically mild.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition and how you respond to treatment. Some patients see improvements quickly, while others with more chronic conditions may need ongoing care. Dr. Lucy will discuss a plan with you after your initial visit.
Do you accept insurance?
We recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify coverage for acupuncture services. We also offer flexible payment options for treatments not covered by insurance.
